For the expansion of the GRT terminal in Grimsby, England, Abeko dredged over 700,000 cubic meters of clay. The project was part of the preparations for greater vessel draft and improved passage for seagoing cargo ships.
To carry out this large-scale work accurately and efficiently, three of our work units were deployed:
Server 1, with its 250-ton excavator and dredging depth of up to 24.5 meters, provided the strength and capacity for the heavy work.
- Abeko Server 1, Server 2, and Server 3. Each with its own specialization.
- Server 2, an agile backhoe dredger, ensured flexibility in areas with limited maneuvering space.
- Server 3, the compact powerhouse of our fleet, was used for precision work in narrow zones and along quay structures.
