In Millport, Abeko managed the construction of several breakwaters with a total volume of 60,000 tons of riprap. The structure consisted of carefully placed boulders weighing between 3 and 6 tons each, designed to protect the coast against waves and erosion.
For this project, Abeko Server 1 was deployed — our powerful work unit equipped with a 250-ton excavator and a dredging depth of 24.5 meters. With its reach, strength, and stability, this pontoon was ideally suited for placing large stones from the water under varying conditions.
The work was carried out with high precision and in close consultation with local stakeholders, ensuring minimal impact on the surrounding environment.
