About your responsibilities.
As a bargemaster you are a boatman on a pontoon and you lead the crew. You control the pontoon, plan the work and keep a close eye on progress. You maintain contact with the client about planning, implementation and any challenges on location. You also carry out minor maintenance on the pontoon and equipment, coordinate repairs and ensure a safe, neat working environment.
Je werkt actief mee op locatie en neemt initiatief bij toolboxmeetings en veiligheidsdrills. Afhankelijk van het project werk je in dagdienst of volgens een 24-uurs rooster. Bij internationale projecten verblijf je enkele weken in het buitenland, waarbij je nauw samenwerkt met je team, de technische dienst en directie.

What you bring.
Je beschikt over sterke communicatieve vaardigheden en weet op natuurlijke wijze leiding te geven aan een team. Je bent stressbestendig, werkt zelfstandig en klantgericht en levert altijd werk van hoge kwaliteit. Met jouw motivatie en positieve houding ben je daarnaast een fijne collega. Je hebt technisch inzicht of ervaring met onderhoud van grote machines en bent vaardig in het opstellen van rapportages, planningen en timesheets. Tot slot spreek en begrijp je zowel Nederlands als Engels.
Additional requirements include:
- STCW Basic Safety with 4 components: Elementary First Aid, Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities, and Personal Survival Techniques.
- Powerboat Advanced Certificate
- VHF (Basic Marine Radio Certificate)
- Seafarer medical
- Valid passport
- Seafarer’s discharge book
